For anyone having issues after setting Mail to create Notes and To Do’s ‘On My Mac’. You also need to untick ‘Store Notes in Inbox’ under mailbox behaviours.

Hi,

You've removed the item from every computer that accesses the mail account? I have yet to mine come back since removing the item from both computers I use back in early December. I've tested with making some todos in iCal. Creating a new To Do in Mail.app however would create one locally but after deleting the offending todo and restarting Mail.app it was gone - it did not create new ToDo.mailboxes

You checked that Apple Mail To Do stays gone? This didn’t work for me…
